My name is Charles. I'm a Canadian born New Zealander. I have lived in France, Japan, Australia and Canada at different times, now settled with a young family in Auckland, New Zealand.
I have a background in developing sites and services around personal publishing, social media and RSS, and these days I work at a local web dev and search marketing agency.
I think I registered my first domain name back in 1999 when living in Sydney, safarisuit.com. I don't know why, I think I was just amazed that it was available and, well ...safari suits are just funny. Unfortunately I don't have that one any more, along with many others I have registered in the ensuing years. It wasn't really until the last 2-3 years that I started realizing the value of domains.
Since then I have accumulated about 120 domains. About half are .coms, and the rest are local tlds in New Zealand and China. Some a a bit random as I've had mad ideas, but more recently I have become much more focussed on quality long tail phrases.
Fair to say I still have an enormous amount to learn.
