DomainWishes.com interested in any name? 2008/02/27 13:25
Hello,

Let's assume I had low traffic from the generic words and phrase domains listed on http://www.DomainWishes.com (since the sites are yet undeveloped ), would you be interested in purchasing any (or some) of them?

Regards.

I would need to see stats on a domain by domain basis.

I do understand that, in general, domains with traffic are worth more than domains without. However, the exception would be if a good domain (a common word or phrase that fits the extension) without substantial traffic was being sold(such as domains registered during a landrush and never developed). If domain stats are low since the sites are not developed and not advertised(plus mostly .mobi which aren't conducive to type-in traffic) would you still be interested?

In other words, if you had a chance to buy a generic domain (for instance motorbike.mobi, sexologist.info, etc') that logically would be easy to create a site for with lots of PPC/CPC ads, would you absolutely skip buying it?

That's an interesting question. The problem I'm having with brandable domains is that ultimately they are valuable to a natural owner and less valuable to other domain name owners.
I'm actually writing a series on this right now which is my effort to take readers on my journey on how best to value these domains.

I'm not sure what you mean by "natural owner"? If possible, please explain in the forum.

Thank you.
