Just a quick note to let you know that tomorrow, October 31, Sedo is kicking off the second of three monthly dotMobi online auctions for premium .mobi domain names. This auction features key domains from verticals including dating and travel, such as car.mobi, gps.mobi, gay.mobi, kiss.mobi, love.mobi and map.mobi.

The first auction, which concluded on October 3, was a huge success , with more than $850,000 going to names such as hosting.mobi (sold for $101,000), bank.mobi ($51,501), download.mobi ($51,500), currency.mobi ($47,000), insurance.mobi ($42,005) and chat.mobi ($42,005).

The buyers of these domains were primarily marketers looking to boost their mobile presence and investors speculating that companies and consumers will use the .mobi extension to find brands on their mobile devices.
